An automation engine that acts on Meta ad campaigns
Velkina — in-house — Built in-house · Deployed on Railway · API and web running
The result
Campaign rules watch live performance and act on it — pausing, scaling or escalating — with every automated decision surfaced on a dashboard and reversible by the operator.
The problem
Running many Meta campaigns by hand means checking dashboards all day and reacting late, after the budget has already gone to a losing ad. The reporting tools available all describe what happened; none of them do anything about it.
What we decided
We could have built more reporting. Instead we built rules that act. The design constraint was that an operator must be able to see why every automated decision was taken and undo it — an automation nobody can audit is one nobody leaves switched on.
What we built
- Rule engine evaluating live campaign metrics against operator-defined thresholds
- Automated pause, scale and alert actions against the Meta Marketing API
- Operator dashboard surfacing every automated decision with its trigger
- Reversible actions with a full audit log
- Deployed API and web services with a managed database and cache
Scope
Built and deployed in-house. Not commercially launched — it demonstrates the architecture, not market traction.
