A technology practice built around cross-border trade
Velkina builds the digital layer for companies whose customers are in other countries — where language, technical documentation and commercial routing decide whether a buyer can reach you at all.
Where this comes from
The practice was founded in 2024 by Ömer Can Nalbant, a computer engineer whose previous work was inside industrial operations rather than in an agency.
That background shapes what we build. In a port terminal, software is not a marketing surface — it is an operational system where access control, data flow between platforms and incident response determine whether cargo moves. The habits that come from that environment are the ones we bring to commercial web work: document what runs where, make every change reversible, and never hold a client’s infrastructure hostage.
What we believe about this work
Most of what fails in a company’s digital presence is not code. It is an expired domain, a DNS record nobody wrote down, an account only one person can access, or a claim on a page that nobody checked. We treat those as the primary risks rather than as administrative details.
We also think the product taxonomy matters more than the interface. On a manufacturer site the catalogue is the data model and every page is a view onto it; getting it wrong is a migration, not a redesign. That is why our work starts with the tree and not the hero.

Enterprise IT in a 24/7 industrial port: administration and support of terminal operating systems and digital logistics platforms, user access and role-based authorisation, monitoring of operational data flows between port systems and terminals, deployment of new systems, and incident resolution affecting cargo operations.

Founded as a Shopify commerce operation and grown into a full-service agency: paid advertising on Meta and Google, social account management, and production work including music video and live event streaming.
